TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club has introduced an online offshore racing library. Called the Raymond Patnaude Offshore Racing Library, it is accessible through the club's website, www.njppc.com.

Named for New Jersey Powerboat Club co-founder Patnaude, the library boasts a strong historical focus and highlights offshore racing from its formative years in the 1960s through the expansive but turbulent 1980s. The library features hundreds of photos of classic offshore photos and dozens of published race stories. It also offers a retrospective of offshore boating design as presented through a collection of classic offshore boat advertisements for Cigarette, Magnum, Donzi and other boat manufacturers.

Patnaude provided much of the library's content. He has been involved with high- performance boats and offshore racing for more than 30 years
