The Hall of Champions award is bestowed on drivers and throttlemen only, not the
hull. Two members (driver and throttleman) shall be selected from the Super
Series Classes; two members (driver and throttleman) shall be selected from the
APBA Offshore class. (boats actually starting races) and two members (driver and
throttleman) shall be selected “at large” from all other APBA Offshore
classes not inducting members into the Hall of Champions (excluding Outlaw
Performance Classes).
A. Two (2) inductees shall be chosen from the Super Series based on the following
criteria:
The driver and throttleman who accumulate the highest number of points
at all 2001 Pro-Series Events NOT including the World Championship Event.
Plus:
- 50 points for Pm-Series National Championship
- 50 points for a World Championship
- 25 points for setting a new kilo record
B. Two (2) inductees shall be chosen from the “APBA Offshore Class Having the
Most Registered Boats’. (Only boats actually starting races shall be counted.)
The driver and throttleman who accumulate the highest number of points (based on
the Pro-Series points formula) at any six (6) APBA sanctioned races in which
there at least four (4) legal starters in their class. The qualified driver and
throttleman must win a Divisional, World/National or Pm-Series Championship.
Plus:
- 50 points for a National/World Championship Title
- 50 points for a Pro-Series Championship Title
- 50 points for a Divisional Championship Title (maximum 1 Division)
- 25 points for setting a new kilo record
C. Two (2) inductees shall be chosen from an “At Large” Class. The driver and
throttleman who accumulate the highest number of points (based on the Pro-Series
Points formula) at any six (6) APBA sanctioned races in which there at least
four (4) legal starters in their class.
Plus:
- 100 bonus
points for an APBA World/National Championship
- 50 bonus points for an Divisional Title (maximum 1 Division)
- 25 bonus points for setting a new kilo record
